OUR VISION
—
Our vision is that all women and girls are healthy, active and empowered through football.
We strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all members of the Swifts community and expect everyone to adhere to the values of equality and respect for all, regardless of ethnicity, religion, sexuality or gender.
We welcome all abilities and encourage development as individuals, as a team and as a club. We are developing pathways for more women, girls and gender-diverse people to get qualified as referees and coaches, and are creating more opportunities for participation in football leadership.
We offer quality football programs for women, girls and gender diverse people of all ages and skill levels in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment.
OUR PRESIDENT
—
Karen Cook, Club President
Hello and welcome to the Swifts!
I hope you’ll find us to be a safe and inclusive club where you can develop your football skills, meet new people and have some fun. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive space for women, girls and gender-diverse people to access and enjoy football
To that end, there are plenty of ways to get involved outside of training and games; whether it be helping out with coaching our juniors, selling sausages at the club canteen, or coming along to social events. We are always looking for volunteers to help.
The "Matilda's Effect" from the FIFA Women's World Cup has seen a considerable increase in interest for women and girls playing the game. With the momentum and focus on the sport I want to advocate for increased resources for female football, especially at our home ground and I’m personally excited about continuing to work on the plans for the new club rooms.
Please don’t be afraid to reach out to me, or any of the committee, with questions, suggestions or advice. We are a friendly bunch and we are here to help and support you. I truly hope that you grow to love being a part of the Swifts as much as I do.
Best wishes for a successful and enjoyable 2024 season.
