MSFC is holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 18 August from 7pm at the clubroom.
The meeting will run for an hour and will include updates on the activities of the past 12 months as well as an election for committee members for 2015/16.
MSFC will be seeking nominations for the following committee positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Director of Coaching, Communication Coordinator, Community Liaison Officer, Juniors Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator and Membership Coordinator. Position descriptions for each role are listed in the attached document.
Committee members play a vital role in the operation of the club and its future development. All positions on the committee are volunteer roles. Volunteers are a critical resource for the club and the committee will endeavour to support and encourage anyone who can contribute their time and energy to our club.
All committee members who are elected are expected to conduct themselves respectfully, ethically, and cooperatively. They are expected to be committed to the goals and vision of the Maribyrnong Swifts. While all positions have specific roles it is expected that committee members support each other, share ideas and experiences, and help other committee members when needed.
In order to nominate yourself for a role, you need to have an annual MSFC membership. Players automatically have a membership through their registration fees but non-players (i.e. parents of junior players) are able to pay $30 to become a member, payable on the night of the AGM.
